1. YouTube was created by Chad Hurlely (Cherd Hurley), Steve Chen and Jawed Karim in the year 2005. Earlier, all three used to work in Paypal.
2. Only 18 months after YouTube's installation, Google purchased it for $ 165 million
3. Within three months of establishment of YouTube, three lakh people started coming to it. Three months later, this number is tripled and within one year it reached 4 million.
4. On April 23, 2005, the first video released on Youtube, in which Javed Kareem is describing the recent tragedy of a zoo in San Diego (USA). The name of this video is "Me at the Zoo".
5. Initially YouTube was named "Universal Tube & Rollforms Equipment" which was later "UTubeOnline" and finally 'YouTube'.
6. YouTube is the world's third largest website with 100 million active users. (First is Google and second Facebook.)
7. More than 100 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube every minute.
8. YouTube is the second largest search engine after Google.

12. The most disliked video on YouTube is Justin Bieber's 'Baby' song, which has been disliked by more than 65 million people. The Baby song was the most watched video on YouTube before uploading Gangnam Style.
13. About 60% of YouTube's 100 most popular videos have been blocked in Germany.
14. The 10 most watched channels of Youtube made Rs.15crores to Rs.75 crores in 2015.
